in a runoff, if you voted GOP in today's primary, can you vote Dem in the runoff, or are you locked into GOP for the runoff?

If McKinney is vulnerable, then Corrine Brown can be made vulnerable...I'm looking north to you folks in Georgia to see how it can be done. It looks like we're in for a long night....

Practically invincible. I lived in Nassau County, FL from 98-03 and I cannot remember many days she wasn't featured in the Jax paper. She was hilarious to read about.

Gwinnett starting to come in, Cagle has 55% to Reed 45% in first 21 of 162 precincts--looks like Cagle is in good shape...

I agree. I have followed the Braves for many years and they are just as good now as they were bad when losing 11 straight in June.
I was in Atlanta for the Red Sox series and after each game I just hung my head and shuffled away.

I'm amazed that Reed seems to be faltering as he is. He really was the engineer of the Georgia GOP's winning streak back in '02. I thought GOP voters would be more appreciative.
I figured with the amount of campaign money he'd have to work that he'd have no problem defeating any challenger.
I guess the gambling and Abramoff ties just did him in.

As someone posted earlier.
This election is just a warm-up for the next Governor's race and long range most thought Cagle was the best bet to keep the seat Republican.

Local tv was reporting that Cindy Sheehan will be speaking at the McKinney campaign victory party.
They also reported that McKinney has been trying t keep a low profile.
That explains Sheehan.

I think it is the hypocrisy of the casino gambling position, and there are a lot of people like me that don't want a lightning rod as our best shot for Governor when sonny retires...and Reed is a national lightning rod.
But he did great things for the GOP in Goergia, no doubt!

I voted for Reed as repayment for hard work. Cagle seems like a good, solid repub though.

Exactly. Reed is not going to survive the scandal unscathed. And he is only using the Lt Gov. position as a stepping stone to Gov. or something else. Then again, I don't think he could win the general if he somehow gets out of the primary.
