I agree. What's distinctive about Pat Buchanan and TAC (economic and foreign policy isolationism, anti-Israel stance) isn't conservative and what is conservative about them isn't distinctive. Besides, TAC routinely kissed up to leftists like Norman Mailer.
Still, it was better than Chronicles and American Renaissance--- sort of the way Bill Clinton was a better president than Jimmy Carter.
Does anyone know what the writer means when he says "TAC caved in on race"?
