It's time for a unicameral legislature. The Senate is not representing the majority of the people and has become an elitist oligarchy.

Sure, lets change change the make up of Congress, looks like it only worked for 200+ years! Of course the next time you lose a vote, you will want to get rid of Congress completely.

No, we don't need a unicameral legislature, we just need to Repeal the 17th amendment and restore some lost checks and balances. If the state legislatures had their voices in the Senate again, the Senate would behave much differently when it votes.

Normally I would agree. But this is one rare occassion where the Senate does agree with SEVENTY PERCENT of the American people who want embryonic stem cell research funded federally. IMO the thirty percent who are against this research have succumbed to mysticism and superstition. It is sad that a suit-and-tie mujhaedeen have captured much of my Republican Party.
