If that thing is like any MG I ever handled, the troopie in the picture is going to regret letting his belt of ammunition drag on the ground. The twigs, leaves, dirt and so forth the linked belt will carry into the action will jam the living crap put of the piece pretty fast.

Is that one of those A10 mounted gatling guns? Or is it the thing Jesse brought with him into the jungle in Predator?

Painless is a slightly smaller and older version.

The MG34 and MG42 always look sleeker and less bulky than the M60 and SAW. I guess it's the lack of handguards, but the older ones just look like lighter, handier weapons. I saw a nice DEWAT MG34 at a funshow once, but I could have bought a really nice functional weapon for what they wanted.

Somebody, you perhaps, is physics-ly innumerate. Check out Newton's Third Law.

Now try carry one of these a few miles.
Worse, try carry its ammunition.

This actually son of BAR. It is gas operated and actually the
BAR action upside down so that the belt could be used on top.
The only MG42 aspect is a direct copy of the feed.
