Yeh..well, I'm old enough to remember before television and I am completely convinced that this could fly, given the right circumstances: urban area, trumped up "War on Drugs" panic, recent gang activity, and a silver tongued 2nd amendment opponent. So am I (old enough to remember before television--we listened to radio)and I'm NOT convinced it would fly, regardless of the circumstances.

First of all, I don't know about the rest of you, but NO ONE (absent a valid search warrant including probable cause) is even getting into my abode and second of all, if anyone should just come busting in (no knock) I hope for their sake (and probably, mine as well) that I am not in or near my bedroom, because someone is going to get hurt.

I believe that law abiding gun-owning citizens would resist this effort to the point whereby (if by some insanity it were upheld in court) there would be an insurrection to the point that our republic could very well cease to exist as we know it.

I do't know how long it would stick, but such a law could be passed.

Of course there'd be resistance, I'm not arguing that, I'd be part of it.

Ultimately, I think the easy route would be to express it to the Supreme Court.
