Rebelyell has stated he's AGAINST hizoblaah ,Syria & Iran
Rebelyell did state he supports Israel , while also being upset about the situation.
I think people are reading WAY TOO MUCH in his statement that he's upset with Israel.
He's in a warzone & WHO knows what kind of lies he's been told.
YOU stated REBELYELL was lied too . You stated Lebanon was the TRUE Blockade Probelm .
I AGREE with you that YES Lebanon was trying to keep the blockade , And THAT Lebanon is putting false blame on Israel.
But I also think rebelyell deserves some slack !
I Think it's horrific he was told he DESERVES To be in a warzone because he went to an Arab country .
I think it's Horrific he was told he never was in Lebanon in the first place .
Rebelyell has NOT been getting alot of sleep in a warzone , & he deserves Prayers & Well-Wishes
I think it's this thread that I posted that a few months ago I took my dad to the hospital for emergency surgery at 9:30 in the morning and didn't get home until 12:30 a.m.
I was worried, tired, hungry and cranky as all get out and blaming the hospital for not getting to my dad faster than other more critical patients. I sounded like a whiny baby even to myself. LOL
The outright lies I've seen about this poster are really making FR look like it's inhabited by a bunch of nuts.
Ummm, I didn't say any of those things. I didn't necessarily say he had been lied to by anyone except the overemphasis by the media that Israel is the bad guy in this.
I don't know who told him the source of the blockade, but it is true that Israel is blockading the harbor. It's just that they're blockading small boats that could be carrying weaponry into Lebanon or those portable rocket launchers out of Lebanon into Israeli waters. In fact, we don't know that perhaps that *is* happening - or, at least, *had been.*
So, not knowing the source, I couldn't say for sure that he had been lied to, so I didn't. I just told all sides - that American ships are not being allowed by Lebanon to dock there - which is still true. We are having to use boats of other registry to evac our own citizens and none of our own military ships are allowed to dock at all (I have a feeling that includes the amphibians we were anticipating having to use).
They gave a 48-hour reprieve on the harbor at the same time the borders to Syria were opened to all - when they had not been allowing Americans into that country or giving visas to Americans. We are only on a free pass in that they're allowing Americans to evac at all, on the boats the US is sending. After Friday, things may change. For right now, things are a little more positive than they were 2 days ago, from our POV.
Allowing the European ships to board passengers for evacuation was simply because they *weren't* Americans. We found out that some of them were, but only after they were long gone from the area.
None of these things were what I was upset with RY2 about at all. I wasn't even really upset - just said I'd check back in later, since he wasn't responding and I felt like I was talking to a wall, when he *did* respond to flamers, instead. That's all.
