"What indications are there that Sinoria is trying to get rid of Hezbollah from within the government and the population?"

None. He went on a rant yesterday on Fox in which he defended Hezbollah and attacked Israel. He was told that Mike Tobin in Haifa had a question for him, and he refused to take the question and hung up, apparently thinking that Tobin was an Israeli, and did not hear Tobin greet him in Arabic.

Siniora is as a puppet. He's weak and a Hezbollah stooge, who has no intention of doing thing one about Hezbollah.

I watched his rant yesterday.

If what you said is true then why is Bush so adamant that the Lebanese government remain intact? He spoke as if the government is small and young but headed in the right direction and in need of protection.

How can anything improve in Lebanon (and Israel) if Siniora and the gov are not even willing to turn Lebanon into a decent country? Wouldn't all of this fighting now be an exercise in futility?
