Hillary is no Reagan.
Reagan got elected governor of CA twice. No small feat. If Hillary wanted to prove her electibility in swing states, she should have run for the Senate from Arkansas or someplace more "red."
A few words to you and all the other FReepers on this thread who keep insisting that Hilary will never be elected:
Many, many years ago, I was young and foolish and living in Burlington, VT, and worked for the McGovern campaign. I went to bed thinking, McGovern will most likely be elected. I woke up finding out that he was swamped and one of the biggest losers in presidential history. How could this be? I asked my friends--I don't know ANYBODY who supported Nixon? (Film critic Pauline Kael, I found out years later, echoed the thought with a disbelieving, "I don't know one person who voted for Nixon!").
We hang out with our own kind, for the most part. Do you think I'd be friends with someonee who could support Hilary? Do I think you would?
No, of course not. But just because we don't associate with her potential supporters doesn't mean they're not out there. How many Freepers--300,000? In a country of 300,000,000.
She doesn't have to win by a landslide. All she has to do is win by point-0-.1 percent.
It can happen.
