Guess we'll have to wait and see what the story is on that. I just hope it's not any sort of evacuation helicopter.
Mike saying 'boots on the ground' report may just mean that the IDF troops are going in for the hostages.

Just saw this report on the NYTimes front page
BREAKING NEWS 7:27 AM ET: An Israeli government spokesman says its ground forces have
entered southern Lebanon to attack Hezbollah bases.
That's two independent sources with the same info...one more and I consider it hard news.
(I lean forward on two reports though.)
FNC retracts boots on the ground story.
Per FNC: Israeli officials DENYING Israeli boots on the ground in Lebanon.
IDF says they are not there. However, I have a funny feeling they are there. They just do not want to alert the bad guys.
FOX now reporting that "boots on the ground" is not true -per Israeli defense official...
Lots of ambulances now in background in Haifa where Mike Tobin is..

I guess the Israelis doesn't want media to cover this war too much.
So...did this report originally come from the NYT's?
If they published this- and it's a covert op...it should be the END of of that newspaper..
That's very sweet of you. You're just further proof that Houstonians are the BEST!
Israel Sends Ground Forces Into Lebanon

Some Syrian official is on C-Span 1. He is making me sick. The host asked if Hez should be disarmed. He responded by saying Israel is the worst terrorist country in the world. He is basically saying that the US has been taken over by the Israeli lobby.
Injuries reported in Haifa from strikes a few minutes ago, per Haaretz...
Getting different stories all over...
MSNBC has a banner saying "AP: Israeli Gov't Spokesperson says its ground forces have entered Southern Lebanon"
FWIW, the only source I can recall hearing for the boots on the ground report was AP.
Ah yes...the infamous fog of war!
Greg in Beirut (on Fox...didn't look up to see him, but I'm thinking it was Greg Palcott (sp?)?) said that they are hearing the same reports of some sort of aircraft (Israeli) down and that they hear fireworks and celebration in South Beirut, similar to what they heard the other night when the ship got hit.
Al Jazeera TV is confusing the issue even further.
Israeli PM to make a statement at 15:00 GMT (11:00 EDT).
