Storming the embassy could be just what Iran wants. Think of the position that would put the Israeli's in. Bad idea without 100% certainty.
Nothing like an invasion of sovereign Iranian territory to delegitimize all Israel is working for. This could be a set up.

Sovern territory only works in diplomacy if it is reciprocated. Iran doesn't recognize Israel, so there can't be an act of war.
As for the rumor - Israel likely has their embassy under 24/7 surveillance and were those soldiers there, they'd be already home with their families.
