Aside from the fact that they need a couple of Buffs, they have a very fine AF. I think they'd have more use for some of our mothballed B-1B's. Even better if they got some B-1B's reengined with the same engines used in the F-22. They would be able to supercruise at higher mach values than the currently configured B-1B can attain. Each B-1 has about twice the bomb load of one B-52. We should also consider selling or leasing the Australians some B-1B's as a replacement for their F-111's.

Of course you are right about B-1B's, but I have a soft spot for Buffs. Love em' and I hope they never go away.

Never thought we had any B1-Bs mothballed. Great idea you have as sending BUFFs would only result in their loss to modernized SAMS.
I'd really like to see the Aussies using B1-Bs so they can mothball the F-111s.
