Elections last year gave Hezbollah a strong parliament presence of 11 lawmakers and two seats in the Cabinet, increasing predictions among many Lebanese that the group would abandon guerrilla action and become a political party.
All such speculation vanished in an instant Wednesday with Hezbollah's bold raid across the border to snatch two Israeli soldiers, sparking Israel biggest bombardment in 24 years.
Oh, how the illusions of the libs, here and in Israel, vannish in blood and fire.

Yeah, giving lunatics more power makes them moderate their position. The only thing that amazes me is that anyone could even pretend, with a straight face, that giving the Palestinians their own country would produce anything other than a terrorist state. The Islamists kill everyone that disagrees with them, then have an election, and people are surprised that the new government is composed of murdering lunatics.

They are elected to the Lebanese government....They represent the Lebanese government...They kidnap foreign soldiers....an act of war on behalf of Lebanon..
