They don't eat crow because they are not trying to predict the future. They are just "talking up" their Democrat cause and "pumping up" the confidence of their readers. They will have thousands of conspiracy laden theories for why things did not pan out after they are proved wrong.
Speaking of "conspiracy theories," I head the king of them this morning: Oliver Stone, commenting on "The Making of 'Patton'" said that Nixon watched "Patton" and decided to bomb Cambodia after watching that movie, so IT was responsible for genocide by the Khmer Rouge! Just mull that one over a while.
