Haven't read all of the thread, but I can tell you there are a lot of "real conservatives" in WA state that are prepared to sit out the Cantwell/McGavick Senate race because they believe McGavick is a RINO. They also plan to sit out the Reichert/(some very lib Dem) race for the same reasons. They would rather the seat go to the rabid Dem than "endorse" Reichert's RINO policies on a few non-key issues.
They would hand the House and/or Senate to Dems just to try to make some point that will never be taken as such. If this happens, it will be blamed on Bush, not on the RINO. The anti-RINO message will be lost in the anti-Bush message.
