1) "If you will not fight for the right when you can easily win without bloodshed.
2) If you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not so costly,
you may come to the moment
3) when you will have to fight with all the odds against you
and only a precarious chance for survival.
There may be a worse case.
4) You may have to fight when there is no chance of victory,
because it is better to perish than to live as slaves."
Winston Churchill
I think right now we are at the second line in winston churchills lesson for the ages. Thanks to the UN we've sailed blindly past the point where we can easily win without bloodshed. We had better fight while the victory is not so costly, and that doesnt mean there will be NO cost. It only means that the price to be paid will not be cheap. Because steps 3 and 4 is where we DONT wanna go.
Remember that WAR is not the worst thing that can happen, THAT is where our teachers failed us. There are worse things than WAR you can bet your bottom dollar on that.
"War is the remedy that our enemies have chosen, and I say let us give them all they want."
- General William T. Sherman
It is my opinion, that it is the fatalistic teachings of Mohammed that has caused the stagnated develoment of the Arab. He is exactly as he was in the 7th century, while the rest of the world has kept on advancing." - Gen George S Patton
"War is cruelty. There's no use trying to reform it, the crueler it is the sooner it will be over."
-William Tecumseh Sherman
Futher evidence that General Patton was way, way ahead of his time.....
