I have to be away for a bit and typically just jump to my pings and the end of a thread.

I have an odd relationship with pings. Sometimes I don't check because I figure, if no one pings me, no on thinks I have anything interesting to say/likes me. However, people might think I don't care so then I feel bad.

So then I check my pings, I feel I must respond to everyone who pinged me, then they respond, then it becomes a never-ending loop!

So I don't know what to do. Oldtimer Freeper advice would be appreciated. LOL

I know what you mean exactly. I was brought up to respond to "inquiries", etc., and it seems rude to ignore pings.

But unless someone is specifically asking me a question or answering a question that I asked, I often don't respond.
