If the entire world is on edge to the point where this could be taken to a global crisis, then the issue is not truly centered on those 3 soldiers, it it?I don't think many people back in 1917 thought that Austrian Archduke Francis Ferdinand's assassination would start WWI.

Yes, it was "a" trigger, but the area was already prepared for conflict, was it not? Alliances and Nationalism had been stoking the region and it was really only a matter of time until something triggered a major conflict, and that assassination led to the ultimatum that started it.
The situation could be interpreted as loosely mirroring todays situation in the ME, but a closer look sees that most countries in that region are not prepared for such a conflict and in fact most countries seemed to have placed the blame on hezbollah and are distancing themselves from any likely regional conflict.

I don't think many people back in 1917 thought that Austrian Archduke Francis Ferdinand's assassination would start WWI. When the explosive charges are fully emplaced, all it takes is one spark to start the fuze going.
The Israeli people have probably been wanting for years to get back at the terrorists. The rest of the world is in less of a mood to restrain them. US forces are in the area. The spark has been struck
