Matthews is misreporting the GA statement, still saying they are calling for a cease fire. His reporter in St. Pete is misrepresenting the facts as well. Doesn't surprise me any, but I can't beleive that he is still employed.

This guy was basically trying to get the ambassador to say the Israeli policy made no sense by setting up the argument that Israel was asking for Lebanon's army to help them by patrolling the border area but here Israel was attacking Lebanon's Army. (duh) The Ambassador somehow managed not to roll his eyes and responded that Israel has excellent intelligence on Lebanon and no doubt had a good idea which units in the Lebanese Army were actively aiding Hezbollah and working against the Israelis. Which would explain why they took out one of the units.
