About an hour ago I was listening to MSNBC and they were reporting that 3 Lebanese soldiers were killed by an Israeli strike (and I think up to seven were missing).
The host asked a guest if that wouldn't make it difficult for Israel to work with Lebanon going forward someday -- accidentally killing Lebanese soldiers.
The guest was a former Ambassador to Israel I think, and he said that some Lebanese soldiers were known to be on the take with Hezbollah and work closely with that terrorist group.
I was doing some chores and not paying strict attention, but that's what I heard, mewzilla.
Thanks, all. This is the first time I've heard the Lebanese Army mentioned. I wonder if this means the army's chosen sides? If one particular base was allowing Hezbollah to operate from it? I can't believe the IDF hit it by accident.
That would be my guess.
the host actually said 'accidently' hit them??
Yeah, I heard it. The interviewer obviously wasn't too bright. I thought the "former ambassador" (didn't catch his name) did a pretty decent job talking through the dumb questions.
