A lot of words don't appear in the Bible.
Remember how the religious leaders condemned Jesus for associating with prostitutes and tax collectors?
These Pharisees considered themselves "too good" to be around those they labeled as "sinners".
Jesus reserved His harshest criticisms for people like these religious leaders.
While Jesus didn't express tolerance and diversity when it came to moral laws and statutes, He was open to ALL sinners to come to Him and He showed them love, not hatred.
Ezr 6:11 Also I have made a decree, that whosoever shall alter this word, let timber be pulled down from his house, and being set up, let him be hanged thereon; and let his house be made a dunghill for this.
I find the best way to defend Christianity is with whats IN the word itself it is self explanatory unto itself although some words may or may not appear in the bible the common light of the lord will reveal the answer to any question that sinner or saint may have.
He did not, however, in any way shape or form tell the sinners that what they were doing was proper. To a liberal, someone who points out the folly of another person's ways is "intolerant", even if he does nothing more than that.
