Every so often, a leftist will try to act like he has faith, then when his hypocrisy is demonstrated, he gets angry and accuses true believers of "hate speech." The good news is that it generally backfires on the left.
Hmmm ... somebody hasn't read his Bible.
smells like early jesse syndrome to me.
Look, I have a problem: I am getting curious, suspicious, and in hunch-forming mode because the last person in the world who anyone should remember or be concerned with is this character with the suspiciously provocative name. I don't think he's merely another warped American leftist. I think he's coming from a completely malevolent angle.
Why do they keep shoving him at us?
bump to read later
The emperor has no clothes. I've seen 3 televised speeches by this man, and each time I just shook my head and said, "What's the fuss? This guy is boring."
I think the Left knows that he is the golden boy (who knows why) and therefore his speeches are defined as brilliant.
Sounds like more Communist propaganda.
Yeah, well there's nothing new here. Leftist clerics have been with us for decades. That's why it was so strange to have alarms sounding when conservative ministers got involved in politics. What's the problem, if the left has already been involved for a long time?
Somehow this always boils down to entitlement programs.
Thus the subtitle of Ann Coulter's new book.
What's with bisexual? Is that true?
Obama's words could just have easily been said by Lenin when he tried co-opting the Russian Orthodox Church in the 1920s.
Sadly, he represents a real segment of society. Nevertheless, the issue is premise. Is he entitled to draw values from his faith, to express them, and to form his ideas of good government from them? I say yes. Keep ever before you, guys, that we will gain far more with that premise than he will. We should just welcome Obama's shift in premise. It's an important one. Lose a battle; win a premise. That's an acceptable trade off.
any 'critisism' is an immediate 15 yards for 'racism'.
gee. Barack Obama. He's the "rising star" of the Democrats because he has an African name, since his father is African from Africa. His mother is white, so he's both black and biracial. And he's truly African-American with an African name.
I've heard him speak too, and am not impressed. I think he's been anointed a rising star because of being African American, African name, etc. He's a good representative of Democrats where style is more important than substance.
I also am 100% pro-choice - if the choice in question is whether or not to own a gun, where to send your children to school, or how to spend your money. People should identify what choice they are talking about.
Ted Kennedy once called him Osama bin Laden. I guess Ted just didn't know how to pronounce the name of his esteemed colleage from Illinois.
