RaceBannon and I were there. First ones, as usual.

The protest was led by Rabbi Avi Weiss, and Congressmen Engel and Weiner showed up and spoke. We started out in front of the building that holds the Iranian and Syrian consulates, and marched down to stand opposite the building that houses the Israeli consulate. Lots of good chanting and songs. I'm learning the Hebrew chants. Closed with our national anthem.

Tomorrow's---across from the UN at 42nd and First, at 12 noon---will be huge. The group that is holding it encompasses 51 or 52 major American Jewish organizations. There's a rumor that our senators may show up.
