I have a 50-50 chance of spending 7 weeks at Ft. Huachuca, as part of my MOS 98Y AIT training. It's a new MOS, and the Army is making the training up as it goes along :-) I'll spend either 16 or 23 weeks at Pensacola Naval Air Station.
It's only a matter of days before I leave. I'm doing things for the last time as a civilian. Two weeks from now (approximately), I'll be wearing the uniform. It will be a great honor to do so. It will be at that point I will consider myself to be in the military, not a few weeks ago when I signed the contract.

I think its great that many towns have taken to naming important places after these fallen heroes. Streets, bridges, schools, and parks. It is far more fitting then the PC names that keep getting slapped onto landmarks these days.
