Wouldn't Americans be safer going toward Israel? While we are on this subject, the silence from Jordan is deafening.

We own Jordanian intelligence. We helped them set it up and paid for it. Jordan allowed two brigades equivalent of SOF to transit through to Iraq prior to OIF, despite public statements to the contrary.
Same deal for SA, except they set up their own intel services, long history there, see "GIS" and "Turki"
