We do not have the capability of stopping short range missiles. The duration of flight is simply too short.

If they are lucky, the Patriot batteries will get some missiles if they are lobbed a long distance (like to Tel Aviv). But they probably will not vaporize the warhead and it will fall down someplace.

I'm not expecting the incoming missles to be knocked down.

I am expecting the coordinates of the location/sources of those incoming projectiles to be provided to Israel so that they may be able to respond ASAP.

and those Hizzbullah missiles with range to hit Tel-Aviv have pretty big payloads (600kg)
