I listened to Zogby on CNN last night. Zogby, naturally, had to place some of the blame on the Israelis. The reason? Because Palestinians can't get fresh fruits and vegetables. Honest. That's what he said.
Zogby of all people...
Perhaps they could get fresh fruits anad vegetables if they hadn't destroyed the greenhouses that the Israelis left when the settlers moved out.
It's ok to kill Israeli civilians and kidnap soldiers, long as people in Gaza can get fresh fruits and veggies?
Yeah, I was reading a similar article in our local paper online, just open-mouthed at what it was saying about the poor people - then looked down at the bottom and it was an editorial (if it said so at the top, I missed it) by a relative of a Palestinian activist.
Zogby was on CNN a few days ago, when this all started. Had the gall to say whatever Palies had done 'paled in comparison' to what Israel had done first...perpetrating a 'humanitarian crisis, starving Palies, etc.. Zogby said he was Arab-American, born here. Insisted on this point. Makes you wonder what he's really up to. (There's such a thing as protesting too much.) Then the head of C.A.I.R. showed up on Fox. In the interests of fairness, we have to watch/listen to our enemies. They're today's version of the German/American Bund.
Zogby is a hateful old woman. Utterly ridiculous.
Oh, the poor dears. The poor, poor dears, what with no fresh fruit and vegetables.< Pardon my French, but WTF?!!!
We watched a family comedy last night--no one else wanted to persevere in this, and since I have a 7 year old daughter, I figured she didn't need to be frightened.
Thanks for the update.
I'm glad there's a live main central thread for this.
zogby is hardly unbiased as he is an arab. shiite for brains.
"Because Palestinians can't get fresh fruits and vegetables."
I don't think that problem was Hamas' top priority.
Hmm.m. That's interesting. When the Israelis left Gaza, they left perfectly good greenhouses and other things intact. When the "Palestinians" moved in, they destroyed the greenhouses as well as anything else the Israeli's left in the way of things already built that they *could* have used to produce fruits and vegetables or buildings they could have used for constructive uses.
The press in full campaign mode against Israel today. They bring up sympathetic Palistinians in Gaza, scared Americans in Lebanon, and to be balanced they interveiwed a Israeli captain that looked determmined.
The DBM is just ridiculous. They don't even bother mentioning the kidnapped soldiers. It's all about stopping big bad Israel. It would be something if they tried to get back to journalistic integrity.
