I sobbed through 8 Below... I cannot watch a movie where a dog dies.

To: SE Mom; All

Goodnight SE Mom, and please tell your son or daughter that I thank him or her for his or her service (and I'm sorry I haven't been around enough to know which).

Here's a funny story (to me, and hopefully to others). When I was pregnant and in law school in my last semester, JAG came for interviews. I REALLY wanted to interview for JAG. However, being 7 months pregnant, all I wanted to do was to read "What to Expect When You're Expecting," and fix everything up. so I didn't go. Plus, I was never good at gym and knew I'd flunk basic training. :)

So a few weeks ago my dad came out to visit. He used to be a very powerful lawyer, but after a case of meningitis, he's not the same. So I got a digital tape recorder and started interviewing him about old times. And I told him how I wanted to be in JAG.

He said, "I almost went into JAG, too!"

I said, "You're kidding! You wanted to give back to the country, do something for the greatest country on the planet, right?"

He said (very slowly), "Well, no. I had an appointment with the draft board and I was trying to get out of going to Korea." :)

Oh, Lord... it would be a media circus. Added to the Sheehan sideshow untenable.

yes...said isn't it.

I believe that it will take at least 2 generations before there is a chance of having Muslim children, Arab children grow up NOT believing that Jews don't have a right to live.

Of course this is IF this democratic stuff takes hold in Iraq...and WE in America can stop the Wahhabi schools in our own neighborhoods.

It's amazing to me that people who can not even go to a grocery store without yakking into a cell phone, some how think that the President of the United States cannot monitor anything from anywhere. Ridiculous. He's not going this summer, he's going to campaign instead and give his neighbors a break.

Sleuth, our State Department is broken, I thought it still had to many Clintonista's, but I'm wondering if it's even worse with a lot of old, worn out, Carter-era holdouts. Joel Maybry's book on the State Department is very informative.

That requires smacking some LIEberals upside the head with the truth. There's a cell that infiltrated a local college, but it's still being swept under the rug as a "lone nut" lily white (that had roomed with muzzies and had been visiting a radical mosque around the corner).

I keep forgetting you have a lot of them in Texas and even in Oklahoma, don't you. I don't know of any here, though I'm sure Phoenix has a lot.

I've also tapped Ginsberg as a lib, but he's got a very informed background.

My son served in Korea back in the late 90's.

While it wasn't the Korean War, he still didn't relish being so close to somebody that wanted to kill you.

Come to think of it, he never said one good thing about being stationed there.

Dinner Jacket has absolutely no idea of the unshirted hell that is being planned for him by us and the Israeli Air Force

I am nowhere near as knowledgeable as you or most people here on this topic, but as for this statement, all I can say is: GOOD!!!!! GREAT!!! FANTABULOUS!

The West will win, as it must, otherwise the planet is doomed, that's my feeling.

And I'm very honored that you posted to me, section9. :) Chris. :) Take care. :)

I was suprised at the influx of radical arabs in recent years. I left the state in 1993 and returned in 1998. You wouldn't believe the invasion that took place in a short period of time.
