If I understand you correctly, you maintain that Israel is deliberately attacking parts of Lebanon not involved with the terorists. I suppose taking out the airports, some roads and bridges could be interpreted that way. But I see no deliberate attacks upon non-terror civilian populations.

They are bombing civilian infrastructure (airports, bridges, and seaports), that are of no use to the terrorists, as far as I can see. Now maybe I'm wrong: maybe the terrorists are using these things in ways that I don't see. If that's the case I'm open to correction, but given the information I have before me, it doesn't seem likely.

As for Shiite/Sunni distinctions, a Muslim is a Muslim; the "good" ones are only biding their time until they are strong enough to strike.

The point isn't that some Moslems are good. The point is that the Lebanese Sunnis aren't supporters of Hezbollah and don't have much animus against Israel. That's a fact, like it or not.

Lebanese Sunnis don't like Palestinians very much, either.

Lebanon has forfieted its national sovereignty by allowing the terrorist cancer to grow in it without opposition.

This is absurd. Lebanon just got its sovereignty less than a year ago. It is weak, poor, and has next to no military resources. It has been under the thumb of a pro-Hezbollah Shiite Syrian occupation for more than 2 decades. Now, you expect them to get rid of a Syrian and Iranian-backed Hezbollah, less than a year after their occupation ended?

Get real.

Lebanon's only hope is to remove all Muslims so the largely Christian population can live in peace. Who better to assist in this endeavor than Israel

I agree. It doesn't look to me, however, that Israel's current actions are doing anything to lead to this result.

Those rockets and missiles are moving about somehow, as are the terrorists. They may or may not be using airports and seaports, but are certainly using roads and bridges.

I expect to see some indication of an effort to do so. Of course, if the good guys do something to the terorists, the media won't cover it, so maybe I should give them the benefit of the doubt.

They may not support Hezbollah, and NOBODY likes the Palis, but I decline to believe that they would not cheer heartily to see all the Jews driven into the sea.

That we can partly agree upon, but (like our border problem) you have to plug the leak before you bail out the water. They have to hit the terrorists hard before assisting the Lebanese Christians with arms and training.
