You're undoubtedly right. My mother smoked, I'd NEVER let her hug me, they say, not even as a newborn.

That's patently ridiculous! My mother always smelled WONDERFUL and I always wanted to be with her! She was a marvelous mother and she even smelled good.

And my daughter and I are as close; always have been.
