And prayers for ALL the children of Israel being said nightly.
** sigh **
The fact that this has to be written and used makes me sad.
Sometimes all the crap in the world weighs heavy on me. Especially because of my children.
We have told our 8 year old about the situation in Israel. I can't imagine having to practice going into a bomb shelter with him.
We are praying for the people in Israel.

Me too. In my darker moments I wonder what sort of horrible world we're handing them.
Hope not, but this could apply here in the USA if some people get ahold of power in our government. Seems a lot of what starts there, ends up here eventually.
Pray for the children and adults of Israel.
A powerful reminder how much we have to be grateful for here in the USA. Nobody should have to contemplate these things.
That's the truth - it is a very sad commentary on the world in which we live.

Actually, I don't see that - because the people of this country would NEVER put up with the daily barrages, or even the threat of them. That's a good thing, but it frustrates and angers me to no end that we (and, most recently and particularly, Condi Rice) tell Israel to restrain itself. Would we? Not a chance, IMHO. Its one thing to have the Murthas, Kerrys, etc. carping about and undermining operations 6,000 miles away - but NO ONE in a position of power here would EVER do that if the attacks or threats were here, because they'd find themselves out of a job or hanging from a street light.
Instructions like these should not have to be given in Israel - and I'd like to see the US finally give Israel a green light to do whatever it wants to do. Who really cares what the Europeans or Arabs think? They all hate us anyway, so we and our allies in this war on terrorism should just do whatever is necessary to win.
Prayers for the innocents in both counties.
Just....wow. Prayers for Israel.

My son-in-law went back up to Safed to fetch some toys, dodging katyushas.
We live in interesting times.
FRmail me to be added or removed from this Judaic/pro-Israel/Russian Jewry ping list.
Warning! This is a high-volume ping list.
Our politicians would, and I don't think there's much we could do about that.
Prayers for your family, Alouette.
My thoughts are with you and your family. (((hugs)))
Please let us know how all is as soon as the Sabbath is over.
Amen. This is what all our forebears came to America and Canada to escape, from all over the world. The fact that Israel has to put up with this, and deal with this, is just depressing. They seem to be handling it well, and professionally, but why bother cowtowing to the Europeans and Arabs who secretly, or not so secretly, want to see America and Israel wiped off the map.
They'll never be our friends or reliable allies, anyways, with a few possible exceptions. So why even bother pretending to make nice-nice?
The fact that Israel needed someone to write this guide is sad, in and of itself.
Ping.
If G-d doesn't have mercy and shorten the birthpangs of the Messiah but instead chooses to wait until we merit redemption then I don't think we'll make it.
