isn't an all out war perhaps a little over-the-top against 3 soldiers being kidnapped?"""

Yes, but to say that almost guarantees you'll get flamed - at least around here. I highly doubt that if some Mexican terrorists captured some US border patrol agents, that the US would be launching an all-out invasion of Mexico and bombing the Mexico City airport.

If the same Mexican terrorists had killed eight of our soldiers, and had killed them at the bidding of Vicente Fox, and this killing was only the latest in a long line of killings and terrorist activity, the US military would own Mexico City.

Your right we would not invade but what would happen with the above scenerio is that our POTUS would call the Mexican POTUS and the border agents would be freed and the perpetrators held responsible. Nor would Mexico call for the release of hundreds of other terrorist murderers in exchange for the border agents.

Certainly you can do better than that. Add to your scenario decades of terror attacks by Mexicans, most working with the approval of the Mexican government. Add to it the spoken refusal of Mexico and larger nation puppeteers in the region to recognize America's right to exist. Under such circumstances an invasion of Mexico seems much more reasonable.

I am sure that if Mexico were firing missiles at San Diego or border cities we would. And that is what the kind and gentle Lebanese have done.

a more accurate comparison would be one where Mexican terrorists were launching rockets made in Venezuela
and provided by Chevez into San Diego ..

And how should Israel respond to being attacked by its neighboors?
Should it pay the Jizya?

2. The US should be protecting our borders.
As a nationalist, you should demand no less.
