IMO, Valerie Plame betrayed the government when she indulged in a "heavy make-out session" with the married Joe Wilson shortly after meeting him and revealed her CIA status to him! If she was as bright as they would like us to believe, she would have recognized him as the "blowhard" he is. She certainly didn't display much intelligence or intuitiveness in her choice of a second husband! These actions certainly don't recommend her as an undercover or covert agent who could be trusted!
