The only thing that would have been better was to meet President Bush so up-close and personal. Still have 2 more years, you just never know.

Talk about nerve wracking!
But the thing we noticed most (it was with my college choir) was that even the Christians didn't smile. The folks at St Thomas Kirche in Leipzig told us quietly not to believe anything anyone said.........that living there was horrible.
It made a deep impression about the evil of communism on my 18 year old mind (first trip).
Maybe that's part of the reason I never veered to the left in college.......
