Former CIA officer Valerie Plame, whose outing led to the indictment of a White House official, has agreed to write her memoirs for Simon & Schuster, weeks after a reported seven-figure deal with the Crown Publishing Group fell through.
"It will be a very interesting book by a key figure of our time," Simon & Schuster spokesman Adam Rothberg said Thursday.
Financial terms were not disclosed and no publication date has been set. In early May, Crown announced that it would publish Plame's book, but the two sides could not agree on a final contract.
Plame, the wife of former Ambassador Joseph Wilson, was a CIA operative whose identity was revealed after syndicated columnist Robert Novak named her in a column on July 14, 2003. Novak's column appeared eight days after Wilson alleged in an opinion piece in The New York Times that the administration had twisted prewar intelligence on Iraq to justify going to war.

Maybe Simon & Schuster needs to know how much this is going to hurt $ them in the long run. Sounds like a boycott is in order.
Exactly. Even more so, they want more than 15 minutes/years of fame, they want to go down in history as the dynamic duo who "took down" the evil Bush regime. Ridiculous and transparent.
I think her suing VP Cheney is actually great. Especially when Cheney et al are awarded legal fees at the end, if it even gets that far.
Will she happen to mention that the Senate Bipartisan report stated that her husband lied and that his closed door briefings to Congress actually bolstered the Bush administration's position that Iraq was trying to purchase uranium?
Maybe we should send a few links to her publisher.
We could start with this link to Simon and Schuster (unless they don't mind paying big bucks for a work of fiction):

oh, wait, are they talking about the david corn outing? or the "who's who" outing? oh, wait.
Brit said tonight the Wilsons attended a Democrat strategy session today with Senate Democrats, even had a picture of them. (and she looked lovely by the way in her designer summer white suit)
So this is a twofer. The Wilsons get a book and more attention. Senate Democrats get to keep Cheney and Rove front and center as election villains.
Hard to figure how the Wilsons have suffered because of a
"conspiracy" against them. In fact they've made tons of money and become celebrities.
S % S ...isn'nt that the same laundromat...I mean publisher Bill and Hillary use?
OMG. It doesn't seem to bother the Democrats they are aligning themselves with a proven liar, I see.
Exactly so and the Wilsons can't sell books, so whatever they pay her, if the ever do, won't be recouped.
How about the outing in '95, by the CIA, itself?
lol! Can you think of one Democrat who isn't a proven liar? Me either;)
Well, now that you mention it...
Maybe Joe Liberman?
see? there ya go! this is why i am so CORNFUSED!
ROFL. Good points.
On the way home in the car today, I listened to Novak on Hannity's radio show and I'm quite sure he said that Harlow at the CIA couldn't say that she was ever even covert. Ever.
Her biography will be the female version of James Bond without the 007 license. Meet the agent, jump into bed, swap bodily fluids, then report back to management on "info" most likely made up during the mattress bouncing.
Let's get her in the courtroom under oath instead of under the sheets.
Zell Miller.
OMG. It doesn't seem to bother the Democrats they are aligning themselves with a proven liar, I see.
Who else are they going to hang with? You have to be deceitful to buy into their agendas and worldviews. That's who they are.
