If we become directly engaged with Iran, our forces in SK had better be put at a higher level of alert. I'm not sure Kim Jong Il will be able to resist a blitzkrieg otherwise. If we can't relieve SK under pressure, he can stay completely conventional and hold Seoul and Tokyo as nuclear hostages if we threaten nukes.

Don't worry. I'm sure France will wake up and pick up the slack and come to the aid of South Korea. /sarcasm

I think Japan should take our place in N. Korea, which would enable a redeployment to the Mideast
