You will find that in instances of breaking news, the local affiliates (Fox, PBS, CBS, etc) will often go to 24 hour coverage using the cable feed.

I have cable news, and trust me, it is worthless. I switched over to the Food Network to watch Giada Delaurentis chop onions in the way that only she can (a much better reason to get cable). For rapid and thorough war information, you are in the right place right here.
