Thursday, July 13, 2006 Missile Attack on Haifa A barrage of Katyusha rockets has been launched at northern Israel, and for the first time one has reached the city of Haifa: One dead in Katyusha barrage in Nahariya and Safed. CNN has reported that at least one of the weapons was a long-range ballistic missile (not just a Katyusha rocket), fired by Iranian guards.

I would posit that the actual facts of this story are being checked to make sure that what is being put forward here is actually factual. I saw the original report on Fox as well, and although it certainly could be a false alarm, I would think that this is being checked very carefully and definitively confirmed before being put to print.
It is a significant escalation if true, so it better be factual before it's put to print, IMO.
