I hardly think they are looking for "parity".

"I hardly think they are looking for "parity"."
I simply provided a quick answer based on the question. One cannot lump all the ruling factions in Iran, past and current, in one mold. There are those that would love to see Ahmadinajab booted out of power. Some key mullahs have gone directly against him when he insisted all Iranian banking assests be lumped into specific accounts in foreign banks to overt a totally shutdown of the system if things where to continue to go really bad for them on the economical side.
One can site many things that point to much real dissatisfaction with this goon ball and some fear they could end up on the short stick or worse in the grave. One cannot really use the term "they". Few of the top end go along with the Messianic crap this character adheres to. They really are rational. Many have studied in European schools etc.. They are not wild desert camel humpers. And they perfectly well know, even if they eventually could actually refine sufficient amounts of weapon grade uranium, obtain or manufacture a workable low yield atomic bomb, perhaps a few once everything truely is at a manufacturing level and quality that would permit such an activity, and perhaps make two or three a year, that Israel already have more tactical nukes then they need.
I refuse to knee jerk as some have in the past year with all those earlier on articles that varied so much as to what their uranium enrichment plan really consists of at present.
And as Iran goes deeper into economical regression, their peoples are realizing they have little future. As the mad man demands some half the population obey their versions of Sharia and go back to the stone age, internal discontent continues to build.
And they know perfectly well, that if European refineries stopped providing them with the gasoline they need (most reliable sources estimate they only can provide 50% of their needs), along with all the other petrochemicals, lubricants etc., that go along with that package, and if the US where to have to strategically take out their oil refineries, then their *sses are totally grassed.
So with not wading into long discourses to cover all the possible scenarios one can put into the over all equation, I simply threw out a quickie. I did not do it out of dis-respect.
