I had not heard of the Messiah coming from there. I was aware of the Messiah entering the temple mount through the sealed Eastern Gate - do you have a Scripture reference (sincerely asking not being snarky)
Also my understanding is the tribulation or the time of Jacob's trouble will precede the Messiah's appearance (I believe the rapture happens first, but that happens in the air, not on earth)

Birth pangs of distress as Christ calls them. A fitting anology, as child birth is drawn out and ultimately very painful, however a beautiful baby emerges. In this case, this will be the new global society under Christ's reign. We are now seeing the birth pangs. The enemy has begun declaring himself here on earth for the final global conflict.
