My understanding of Islam is that it consists of three core beliefs. You are classified as belonging to one of these groups:

1.) You are a Muslim.......a "believer"

2.) You are not a Muslim, but you are a slave to a Muslim

3.) You are dead.........a "non-believer"

And that about sums it up.................
