Top White House adviser Karl Rove traveled to Los Angeles this week to pay homage to the anti-immigration enforcement lobbying group for Latinos: the National Council of La Raza.
"La Raza" is Spanish for "The Race."
It's bad enough the White House lent its prestige to The Race's annual conference. But did you know the Bush administration has forked over millions of federal tax dollars directly to The Race?
According to GOP Rep. Charlie Norwood of Georgia, The Race snapped up $15.2 million in federal grants last year alone and more than $30 million since 1996. Undisclosed amounts went to get-out-the-vote efforts supporting La Raza political positions. The U.S. Department of Education funneled nearly $8 million in taxpayer grants to the group for a nationwide charter schools initiative.
Among The Race's most infamous government-funded charter schools is La Academia Semillas del Pubelo, the Los Angeles public school that teaches "Aztec math" (ancient dot math is the new math) and the Mexican indigenous language of "Nahuatl." The ethnic separatist principal of the school, Marcos Aguilar, told a sympathetic UCLA interviewer:
"We don't want to drink from a White water fountain, we have our own wells and our natural reservoirs and our way of collecting rain in our aqueducts. We don't need a White water fountain We are not interested in what they have because we have so much more and because the world is so much larger. And ultimately the White way, the American way, the neo liberal, capitalist way of life will eventually lead to our own destruction."
That's the tip of the iceberg.

Dear Legal Americans,
We are here to take all of your dirty American Dollars.
Sincerely,
La Raza
PS: And you're all racists, so you had it coming.
This is just mind boggling. How on earth did this come about? I just don't get it.
We're turning into Bizzaro America, run by a Bizarro government. It would be understandable if the Dems were in charge, but the worst insult is that we've got a Bizarro GOP running things.
But did you know the Bush administration has forked over millions of federal tax dollars directly to The Race?

No surprise. Keep in mind what Bush's agenda is. ONE AMERICA, at any price. No borders. Pro-Illegal-Mexicans. All in the face of America, and we should worry about millions to the illegals and the racist LA RAZA?? Hell, Congress and Bush just KEEP GIVING over $100 BILLION PER YEAR to ILLEGAL CRIMINALS in OUR country, again our money taken in taxes and paying to medicate, educate, and feed a huge number of illegals.
It is a sickening reflection upon what elitism and liberalism in Washington politics has done, and continues to do, to our nation. Thank you El Presidente Vincente Bush...and all your cohorts in our fine Congress.
In a word? Earmarks. Or at least of hefty part of it.

The thing is that the money isn't the worst part. This is an anti-American group, who makes their anti-Americanism clear to anyone who will listen. Their rhetoric is largely "separatist", although they don't use the actual term. I don't even follow this issue closely, but I know at least that much.
I became ill when I saw the clip last night of Rove waddling up to the podium to sheepishly pander to these cranks.
I just don't understand it.
Here's an interesting flashback on Rove--being warned for trying to outdo Gebhardt on immigration in 2002.
He was warned then, but still doesn't get it.

And, if you're not already sick enough, check out this hispandering speech Schwarzenegger just made to La Raza:

Just caught Michelle on the Factor with Bill O'Reilly discussing La Raza and their funneling money into schools for furthering their racist/separatist agenda. She's a class act. Bill has a terrible habit of interrupting his guests mid sentence.
Wonder if Karl has plans of attending Louie Farrakhan's next shindig too. Seems only fair because they are also an anti-white group.
