I guess I do not know that God wrote the Bible, I would love to know which version is correct.

Without any other fact to go on (as this is a matter of faith) I take the KJV as the Truth. But I still have doubts, sadly.

You would then need to know how to read greek and hebrew, since those were the languages it was written in. What we have in many forms (NIV, KJV, NASV, etc) are translations. Please take time to research the methodology of the different translations and generally you'll find they are either literal or paraphrase translations. In the case of the KJV, it was based upon the Vulgate, translation of the greek/hebrew into latin.
