Darn. A vacation gets in the way or I'd be there in a New York minute.

O.K. But if they haven't caught that tiger I'm bringing egg salad. If the tiger's history then it's pastrami. Tigers don't like potato salad do they?

The Reagan Museum encompasses 22,000 square feet of exhibit area and contains everything from Ronald Reagan's high school yearbook to a nuclear missile deactivated when the President and Mikhail Gorbachev signed the INF treaty. Our permanent collection of films, videos, objects, artifacts and a world-class line-up of rotating exhibits make the museum a lively, engaging place for children and their families to learn about the 40th President of the United States and his enduring legacy of leadership.• Berlin Wall

Sure wish I could join in this outing but cannot. I did visit the magnificent RR Library in August 2004, two months after his death. Flowers were still piled up and everyone viewing short video of the funeral, came out wiping their eyes, some openly weeping during film.

Oh, man! I don't want to miss this but we are going to be on an Alaskan cruise. I am pouting. I want to be BOTH places! We have not yet been to the Reagan Library and this would have been the perfect time to go and get to meet some freepers that I've not yet gotten a chance to meet at the same time. *sigh*

Oh well, jkphoto and I will be thinking about you all on the 22nd and will raise our glasses to all the fabulous FReepers in attendance and to the greatest president of my lifetime, God rest his soul.

Bummer. We have another picnic that day in the S.F. Valley. It isn't until about 5:00, though, so maybe we can be there for a short time. (This summer have noticed several flags, flowers and remembrance messages placed at the Library sign at the corner of Madera and Presidential, compliments of tourists.)
