We were there for 2 years. My wife is foriegn service. We lived in Moscow. We worked at the embassy.
I must show you picture of Communist rallies in Moscow. About 5-6 people, all over 70! A 'large' rally was held on Mayday in red square. 40 people! Largest Communist rally in Russia in a decade.

Now Russia IS the most expensive place to live. Construction going on everywhere. SUV byt the tens of thousdands (gas is about $1.55 a gallon at the BP station)

No we did not emigrate and I am sorry that we gave you that impression. We are, however, vetrans. Both of us Retired. Conservatives and religious family folk.
