It's their only hope, because, by any objective understanding of the insanity standard in Texas, she was sane.

Judging by the responses on here, there are a lot of women who will buy that line, any line, rather than believe in a toxic mother.

And neither do I. She is in need of lifelong psychotherapy.

She needs to be kept in an institution for the criminally insane. Not in a prison. I believe she is mentally ill.

To that, all I can say is that you can be mentally ill, and still not legally insane. Those are two different standards.
