As a survival skill in the political arena liberals shaped, [some] conservatives have learned verbal street-fighting. But at least we’re not hypocrites. We don’t sucker-punch the other guy and then start whining about the appalling lack of civility when he hits back.

Yes it is. And it gives us insight into their motivations.

On the surface it would appear that Coulter's invective is merely a matter of over the top name calling. But it's not that at all. Liberals are indifferent to invective per Se. What really has them going is that Coulter disarms them. She in effect knocks the weapon from their hands. Thus they are defenseless since they can't debate.

Conservatives have always been too "proper" and "nice" to engage in back alley street fighting. Liberals know this and exploit it to the hilt.

They can't do that to Coulter. She's perfected the "groin kick" and the libs are defenseless and moaning on the floor in pain. Complaining..."fight fair....fight fair"
