European Backlash 'Has Not Happened'? (terrorist finance tracking)
Fox News ^ | July 10, 2006 | Brit Hume

The deans of five prominent journalism schools say The New York Times' decision to publish details of the U.S. program to track terrorist financing was "in the public interest" since it exposed what they call the president's claims to "almost limitless powers.

Deans at Harvard, Northwestern, USC, Berkeley, and Columbia dismissed the government's concern that banks might stop cooperating with terror investigators in a Washington Post article, saying, "that apparently has not happened," even as the European Parliament demanded that governments disclose what they knew about the program, and the Belgian prime minister ordered an investigation.

But the deans insist there are situations where the press should remain silent, saying there was "no justification" for unmasking Valerie Plame as a "covert CIA officer." This despite the fact Plame turned out to have played a key role in getting her husband Joe Wilson the CIA assignment that led to his celebrated criticism of the Bush administration on Iraq.

At one time I use to think that Communist sympathizing Profs would never get government funding and would be almost a minority on campus. Was I ever wrong! It seems that almost every prestigious school of higher learning is full of them and their allegiances are with the terrorists who, like the Communists, want to bring America down to its knees.

Their ingratitude is appalling. The greatest irony is that America haters like Noam Chomsky, Cornel West and some of the other talking heads are loaded: they drive expensive cars, have huge investments, stock portfolios, etc. Hypocrisy pays good dividends. Their investment in the Great Satan of Capitalism is unparalleled -- exceeded only by ingratitude to a country that makes it all possible.

To bad Uncle Joe Stalin can't see what a financial success story they really are!

Well, I've always admired Fox News for their "fair and balanced" reporting. But recently I have been noticing some slightly leftward leaning articles and news stories coming from them. Maybe I'm over analyzing their stuff.
