I'm not as concerned with China's economy as you, but I am concerned with the American economy which certainly has problems.

You don't seem to think any large-scale economic breakdown is possible; trees just grow to the sky forever, eh??? Never need to pay off debts; just inflate them away, eh?

That's nice.

No, I don't think that and if I could make the call I would freeze spending on absolutely everything except defense and energy development through tax incentives to business(drill ANWR, look for low priced ways to develop the vast oil sands we have, hydrogen fuel cell development etc.0 I would further do everything possible to see the accelerated flow of tax receipts is continued whether by any means available (more tax cuts anyone?)

But barring that I stand by what I said. America is not close to going broke any more then is any other nation and we have the added benefit of being in the unique position of being absolutely necessary to the economic viability of the rest of the planet. Remember, this nation is responsible for almost 24% of the GDP of the ENTIRE WORLD.

Have a nice glass of whine, put your feet up and get ready for Brit Hume. It's a great time to be alive.
