Well this will change things. So the big networks will no longer be able to cut the swear words etc out of the movies they broadcast. Thats going to make for some interesting prime time movies... Oh wait they are "the big networks" not some "religious" group this dosen't apply to them.

The big Networks have permission. So do Airlines.

Okay well after reading some of the good posts I see where I jumped the gun. I guess I have gotten edgy with Judges rulings nowdays. I see how the networks get to edit for content. I am still torn on letting the individual do it but I can see how that would create a derivitive work and if it was my film I might not want that done...

Tough call.

Uh, the networks get permission from the copyright holder to edit those films. In fact, the copyright holder generally does it for them. Money changes hands, and the copyright holder gives permission.
