Where I live, they've been wearing these to school for several years now.

It's pretty disgusting when they take them out & put them on their desks.

One of my (college-aged) students missed class back in April -- the next time I saw him, he was missing his upper four front teeth. Turns out he got into a bar fight while wearing his "grill," and when his opponent popped him in the face, his grill took out his uppers.

Super-attractive, let me tell you.

Last year, it was a female student who got into a catfight and got her dangly belly-button ring/decoration yanked out. Three months' worth of antibiotics, and actual plastic surgery on her tummy to make the button look right again.

Kids are just stupid.
